Episode three of HYDROSHOW.TV saw our presenters step up to the mark once again by accepting our imaginatively named Presenter Challenge. Gemma and Pooja were each given £1000 with which to purchase a system for propagation, cloning and stock plants.
Although both presenters had already taken part in our first presenter challenge, neither Gemma nor Pooja had any experience of setting up a cloning/mother tent. Having a separate area or tent dedicated to Mother plants, clones or seedlings is often seen by beginners as an optional extra. It’s true that you can simply buy in seedlings or clones at the beginning of each crop cycle, but unless you’ve got a very good reason for doing so, it would likely prove vastly cheaper, more efficient and a hell of a lot more fun to grow them yourselves. After all, why buy something in when you have all the materials to make it yourself?
